Criteria

All the cars in this list are available now or will be available within 2 years in the UK, they all should roughly be part of the second wave of battery and engine efficiency with 3.3 miles per kWh and 220 miles of real world range being the new average (up from 3 and 177 in the previous top 10)

When there are multiple battery pack options for a car i choose the smallest one, it averaged 63 kWh in the previous list and only slightly edged up to 67 in this one.
